Worldwide sales of smartphones Galaxy S III and its predecessors S and S II surpassed 100 million pieces of Jan. 13, said Samsung. The first model Galaxy S sold 24 million units, only the first seven months Korean manufacturer has realized 10 million.
Building on this success, in April 2011 Samsung launches Galaxy S II, which reached nearly 40 million units sold, the first 10 million were sold in just five months.
In May 2012 Samsung introduced Galaxy S III, which was received very enthusiastically and achieved 20 million sales in 10 months, making it the fastest-selling phone of the company. Currently, sales of Galaxy S III exceed 40 million units.
