7-inch version of the tablet costs $ 199
Online retailer Amazon launched for sale 7-inch version of its new tablet Kindle Fire HD. It competes with devices like the Google Nexus.
Kindle Fire HD with 16 GB of internal memory costs $ 199. Version with 32 GB is more expensive by $ 50. For now, the tablet is only available in the U.S. online store Amazon, and in coming months will appear on the market in Europe.
The device builds on TI OMAP4460 dual-core processor clocked at 1,2 GHz, has 1 GB of RAM, wireless module Wi-Fi with two ranges, Bluetooth, microHDMI and frontal HD camera.
Kindle Fire HD has dimensions of 193 × 137 × 10,3 mm and weighs 395 grams. Rechargeable battery provides up to 11 hours of runtime. 7-inch IPS screen has a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels.
